My name is Mr Gavin Barlow I’m a 3rd Degree Black Belt, also Chief Instructor at Whitetigers Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts Academy.
The club is part of Tae Kwon Do School of Excellence, and also part of the BCKMA.
I graded back in June 2009 under Master Dury 7th Degree Black Belt and Master Russell Perks 5th Degree Black Belt.
I started my training under Mr Don Atkins in Redditch where I trained very hard over the years and have put a lot of hard work into it, I started into competitions from yellow belt, I’ve always been a competitor on the circuit, lots of competitions at different levels National and International also trained at squad level, over the years I have been English, British, Midlands, South West Champion, Welsh Champion and also entered in free style championships, have won many trophy’s and medals. During this time I decided I wanted to start teaching and have my own club. When I reached my 1st Degree Black Belt, this led me to be able to start teaching for my Instructor.  I have been training in Tae Kwon Do for 17 years, have over 14 years experience of sparring. The best thing from an instructors point is being able to pass your knowledge on to others and watch them grow in a traditional martial art.

Our club opened up back in 2007, it’s a family run club and we have a wide range of children and adult grades.

Not only do we cover everything to do with Tae Kwon Do, We cover a wide range of traditional line work, free style line work fitness work outs, self defence and pad drills.

It’s a great way to have fun, get fit and meet new people.
